The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Saliu Mustapha has sympathised with residents of Ogele in Asa Local Government Area following the destructive rainstorm that left many homeless and their properties damaged on Sunday.
In a statement issued by his media assistant, Nasif Sholagberu, Senator Mustapha described the incident as devastating, particularly during the recent Eid celebration.
“I deeply sympathize with those affected by this storm. The loss of homes, schools, and businesses, coupled with power outages, is a significant hardship for any community. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims during this challenging time,” Senator Mustapha said.
The Senator commended the resilience of the affected communities and assured them of his commitment to supporting them through this difficult time.
He urged residents to remain calm and implement safety measures to prevent further damage and harm, while also calling on government disaster management agencies to promptly coordinate emergency response efforts for the communities.
