… Witty, entertaining retrospections & predictions
Over the weekend, a lot happened among Europe’s top five leagues.
In England, Man Utd continued their blistering form by defeating their neighbours, Man City. Though some believed the victory was controversial. The ETH boys with a game in hand are now the same points with Newcastle.

Liverpool’s woes continued with a three-goal thrashing by Brighton. I thought initially it would be a draw or a narrow victory. Will Klopp’s guys finish among the top four this season?
Arsenal’s consistency is still being maintained when they quickly silenced their northern neighbours within 37 minutes of first half and were able to contain them for the rest of the game. However they will face their first of the three baptism of fire this weekend with in-form Manchester United. The latter remain the only team to beat them this season. The other two remain the home and away with Manchester City.

A major transfer hijack occurred at the weekend with the Murdyk’s deal that dampened Arsenal fans. A Chess game of checkmate was played by Chelsea against them perhaps two adding Joao Felix. To win the league, they still have to sign at least one or more striker because according to Sir Fergie, the League starts in April.
Right now, Manchester City are wounded lions. Tottenham, Newcastle and Brighton aren’t push over either. Chelsea too are so desperate to sneak in at least top four.

There are still enough twists ahead in the EPL.
In Italy, Napoli are leading with nine points. Perhaps this is their season after 1987 and 1990 when the goat, Maradona helped them to secure the league title. They messed up the most successful football club in Italy, Juventus with a five goal to one thrashing.
In La liga, it is most times the top two teams. Real Madrid, the most successful football club in the world and their arch rivals Barcelona who won a domestic completion over them this weekend.
In France, PSG lost for the second time and just leading with three points.
The Champions league will kick off next month and new twists and shocks are ahead.
