The candidate of Young Progressive Party (YPP) for the Kwara South Senatorial District, Amb. Abraham Olanrewaju has said he is on course and fully set to participate in tomorrow’s National Assembly’s election en’route the Red Chamber.
This is coming at the heels of the fake news flying around that the candidate has stepped down from the Senatorial race and won’t be contesting in tomorrow’s election.
Ambassador Olanrewaju however said the rumor is nothing but false and orchestrated by his opponents to confuse and distract his supporters in Kwara South.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Director General (DG) Olanrewaju for Senate Campaign Team, Hon. Afolabi Afolayan.
The statement reads:
“The rumours about Amb Olanrewaju Abraham stepping down for any other candidate is 109% false.
“Amb. Olanrewaju Abraham remains the Valid INEC screened and Published candidate for the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for Senate in Kwara South for the Saturday 25th February 2023 election and he is fully participating in the National Assembly’s election.
“We urge all our teaming supporters never to be distracted by the fake news going around.
“We pray for a successful and peaceful election tomorrow” the statement added.
