Speaking after the match, Palace manager Oliver Glasner was full of praise for his side:
“This is a proud day for the club. To beat Liverpool in this fashion shows our character. Justin [Devenny] was fearless. Dean [Henderson] once again showed why he is one of the best under pressure. We’re building something special here.”
Henderson, the hero between the sticks, reflected on his crucial saves:
