Arsenal delivered a commanding statement in the Premier League title race on Saturday, defeating Fulham 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium to open a six-point lead at the top of the table.
The Gunners produced a devastating first-half display, with Viktor Gyökeres and Bukayo Saka combining brilliantly to dismantle Fulham’s defence and effectively settle the contest before the break.
Gyökeres opened the scoring as early as the ninth minute, finishing from close range after being set up by Saka, who was making a return from injury.
Saka then got on the scoresheet himself in the 40th minute, converting after Gyökeres turned provider to double Arsenal’s advantage.
The Swedish striker capped a dominant individual performance by heading in Arsenal’s third goal deep into first-half stoppage time, completing a brace and sealing a comprehensive victory.
Gyökeres finished the match with two goals and an assist, taking his tally to 21 goals in all competitions this season, while Saka contributed a goal and an assist in an influential comeback performance.
Arsenal’s intensity and attacking cohesion overwhelmed Fulham, who struggled to create meaningful chances and offered minimal threat throughout the encounter.

The emphatic win moves Arsenal FC to 76 points from 35 matches, six ahead of Manchester City FC, although the defending champions have games in hand.
Speaking after the match, manager Mikel Arteta praised his side’s response and emphasized that the result keeps their title ambitions firmly alive, especially after a mixed run of recent form.
With the game effectively won by halftime, Arteta rotated his squad in the second half, resting key players ahead of a crucial UEFA Champions League semi-final clash against Atlético Madrid.
Fulham, managed by Marco Silva, remain mid-table and were unable to extend their push for European qualification following a subdued performance.
The result reinforces Arsenal’s title credentials, with momentum now firmly in their favour as the Premier League season approaches its decisive final stretch.
