The Supreme Court of Nigeria will tomorrow Friday, August 23, deliver final judgments in the disputes that arose in the conduct of governorship elections in Bayelsa and Kogi States in 2023.

The apex court had on Monday took arguments from lawyers representing various candidates in the disputes and reserved judgments.

However, the Justice Garba Lawal-led 5-man panel of justices has communicated combatants in the legal tussles that its final decision was ready for delivery on Friday.

Barrister Tunde Falola, Counsel to the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylvia confirmed that the apex court has served notice of judgement delivery on them.

Among the combatants in the governorship election disputes is Douye Diri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who was declared winner of the Bayelsa poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
