The Publisher of Sahara Reporters News, Human rights activist, convener of #RevolutionNow Movement, and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress in the 2023 general elections, was on Saturday morning attacked by suspected thugs during the Lagos City Marathon event.
Sowore was assaulted alongside members of his media team while participating in the marathon event.
The hoodlums also targeted several other journalists covering the marathon, injuring many of them and damaging their cameras and other equipment.
In a video sighted by a source, the thugs were seen physically attacking Sowore, his crew, and the press men.
One of the thugs was caught on camera grabbing a journalist by the neck while he was holding his camera.
