The All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled Tuesday, March 24, 2026, for the screening of aspirants seeking to contest for various national offices as preparations intensify for its forthcoming national convention.
The decision was conveyed in an official notice issued by the party’s Aspirants’ Screening Committee, inviting all aspirants who have successfully purchased and submitted their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to participate in the exercise.
According to the statement, the screening will take place at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, with proceedings scheduled to commence at 9:00 a.m.
The committee emphasized that attendance is compulsory for all aspirants, who are required to appear in person with all relevant supporting documents for verification.
The notice was signed by the Secretary of the Screening Committee, Isa Yuguda, and shared via the party’s official communication channels.
Party officials described the screening exercise as a critical procedural step in the lead-up to the APC’s 2026 National Convention, where new national officers are expected to emerge and shape the party’s leadership structure ahead of future electoral cycles.
The development signals the formal commencement of internal processes that will determine the composition of the party’s National Working Committee and other key leadership organs.
