Pressure is mounting on Mikel Arteta as Arsenal F.C. hierarchy reportedly draw a clear line on his future at the club.
According to fresh reports, the club’s leadership has set a decisive condition: Arteta must deliver a major trophy this season or face the real possibility of being sacked.
The ultimatum is understood to be straightforward and uncompromising—either win the Premier League title or secure the UEFA Champions League, or risk losing his job at the end of the campaign.
This development comes amid growing frustration over Arsenal’s recent performances, particularly their inability to maintain momentum in key moments of the season. The team’s failure to extend their lead at the top of the league table, following unexpected slip-ups, has intensified scrutiny on Arteta’s tactical approach and in-game management.
Despite notable progress under the Spanish manager—including rebuilding the squad and restoring Arsenal as consistent title contenders—the lack of major silverware in recent seasons appears to be weighing heavily on the club’s decision-makers.
Arteta, who guided Arsenal to an FA Cup triumph early in his tenure, has since overseen a period of near-misses, with the club repeatedly falling short in decisive stages of competitions. That pattern, insiders suggest, has led to a growing belief that progress must now translate into tangible success.

With the season entering its defining stretch, every match now carries added significance—not just for Arsenal’s title ambitions, but for Arteta’s future at the Emirates Stadium.
