Bawa, Emefiele Haunts Yahaya Bello, Other Loyal Govs To Stop Tinubu’s Electoral Victory – Fanwo

Posted on February 16, 2023February 16, 2023 By Rextun boss No Comments on Bawa, Emefiele Haunts Yahaya Bello, Other Loyal Govs To Stop Tinubu’s Electoral Victory – Fanwo

. Bawa a chronic liar and Vindictive tormentor of the innocent

EFCC chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa and the Governor of the CBN Godwin Emefiele, has been alleged of using their offices to pursue a witch-hunt and Vindictive tormenting of Governor Yahaya Bello of kogi State and other governors perceived to be ” vociferously supporting the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu” in the forth coming general elections.

These allegations, amongst other weighty such, were made known to the press by Kogi State Commissioner for Communication, Kingsley Fanwo, on Wednesday 15th February in Ilorin, Kwara State Capital.

Mr Fanwo described the recent pronouncements of the EFCC and the spate of arraignment of people close to the Kogi State governor as “a media trial, blackmail and reckless intimidation of Kogi State government officials, their families and associates..” by the leadership of “an agency that has derailed from it’s primary aim of fighting corruption to becoming the political tool in the hands of brutal minds in the pursuit of evil causes”.

Particularly, he decried the desperation of the EFCC chairman to ” paint the Kogi State Government and it’s officials in the colours of corruption at all cost.”
The EFCC had in the past accused officials of the Kogi State Government of placing a N20 billion Bailout fund in a fixed deposit account with Sterling Bank. Rextun City Updates reported that Sterling Bank denied under oath that Kogi State owned such account or funds.

In November 2021, the Central Bank of Nigeria allegedly claimed it has received the “missing”funds from Sterling Bank. But ” the CBN has since November 2021 till date provided no clarification to the Kogi State Government whose funds it allegedly received from Sterling Bank”.

Speaking on the declaration of the EFCC that the first lady of Kogi State was at large, Mr Fanwo described the EFCC chairman as a “convict” who lacks every moral justification to declare an unconvicted citizen to have been at large. He (Bawa) ” must be arrested and be made to join others in the correctional center to be purged of contempt”.

The commissioner also called out the ” power- drunk sponsors in Abuja” of a recent press conference by some “very rich ” ” CSOs”. He observed that the robust budget that could afford live telecast of the conference on many TV stations underscore the contempt of these powerful sponsors for the rule of law. The press briefing had tagged Governors of States that went to court as having ” shifted allegiance from the president to someone who is yet to become president”.
He explained that the reason the ” Kogi State Government went to court to challenge the Naira Redesign policy, especially the date the old naira will cease to be legal tender was borne out of the need to defend the survival and economic rights of Nigerians.

Mr Fanwo asked, why then, ” did the CSOs devote so much of their time to speak about Kogi and condemn officials of the state even before the decision of the court?” ” Where did the CSOs get funds to pay multiple TV stations for live coverage?” ” It is therefore clear that certain elements are truly victimizing Governor’s known to be vociferously supporting the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Bawa and Emefiele are clearly destroying the integrity of Mr president”

While restating Governor Yahaya Bello’s unshakable convictions about the Asiwaju Tinubu’s candidature, he called on president Muhammadu Buhari to call “Bawa and Emefiele to order before they throw this country into huge crisis with their disdain for the rule of law”.

He urged Nigerians to “remain steadfast in the build up to the February 25,2023 polls. Nigerians will only triumph if we refuse to allow the current confusion and provocation to dampen our spirit for continued progressive leadership. We must show the EFCC , the CBN and their collaborators that the collective resolve of our people is bigger than their antics”.
