Declares possibility of a new dawn
Prince Ayo Abegunde, Irepodun born technocrat, and long time silent contributor to key policy directions in Kwara state early this week bowed to pressures to bring his wealth of knowledge into governance when he declared his intention to contest election to represent his constituency in the 10th Kwara House of Assembly.
Speaking to Rextun City Updates shortly after his declaration, he identified some of the deficiencies in our legislative processes while promising his constituents and Kwarans as a whole a new deal themed ” A new dawn is possible”
In response to our question on why he chose the Social Democratic Party to actualize his aspirations, Prince Abegunde described the SDP as untainted and devoid of the insanity found in the other parties.
Meanwhile, an Ilorin based business tycoon, Sir Oluwole Benjamin Oyinbo, chairman of White Gold Investments who is the convener of the 1984 Class set of St. Anthony Secondary School Ilorin old students association has made a call to all members of the set to rally round to make the aspirations of one of their own a reality come 2023.
The businessman described Prince Ayo Abegunde as an embodiment of diverse knowledge with a brilliance and tested integrity that is impeccable.
Sir Oyinbo further described the entrance of Prince Abegunde into the race as ” the entrance of the icon of a new dawn “
