Money, Russian Flags Were Shared To Fuel Overthrow Of Tinubu’s Govt – Shehu Sani

Posted on August 7, 2024August 7, 2024 By Rextun boss No Comments on Money, Russian Flags Were Shared To Fuel Overthrow Of Tinubu’s Govt – Shehu Sani

Former Senator Shehu Sani has alleged that protesters flying the Russian flag in Kano, Zamfara and some other northern states was part of a plot to overthrow the President Bola Tinubu’s government.

The protesters in some northern states were captured in several video clips in which they were flying the Russian flag and demanding for military takeover in Nigeria.

Speaking on the development, Shehu Sani who featured on Channels Television’s program on Tuesday, said it was an attempt by some elements to overthrow the government.

He said, “A day before the last protest, money was shared to the youths, and Russian flags were also shared.

“That shows that the whole intent of the protest is not simply about the policies and programmes of the government.

“When you have this kind of situation, you will see that someone is writing a script for anarchy, lawlessness, and disorder. It is incumbent for someone like us to speak.”
