Former Nigerian international and ex-Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, has advised Victor Osimhen to prioritise a move to the English Premier League, warning that delaying such a switch could lead to lasting regret.
Sharing his thoughts on social media on Wednesday, Oliseh reflected on the striker’s career trajectory, stressing the importance of seizing the moment amid ongoing speculation about Osimhen’s next club.
“Victor Osimhen is standing at a crucial junction in his career,” Oliseh posted on his official X account. “He must act fast and secure a Premier League move or he might one day look back with regret. Manchester United and Arsenal could truly benefit from his talent—if only they’d act.”
This message comes as Osimhen’s long-anticipated transfer to England remains uncertain, despite his proven track record in front of goal and a significantly reduced release clause.
Napoli have reportedly dropped their valuation of the Nigerian forward to €75 million, yet Premier League interest seems to be cooling. Manchester United, once seen as front-runners, are now focusing on Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, while Arsenal are said to have shifted their attention to alternative targets.
Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio recently reported that Turkish club Galatasaray have stepped into the frame, having already reached an agreement on personal terms with Osimhen. Negotiations are ongoing with Napoli, who insist on receiving the full €75 million fee in one payment.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal is also keeping tabs on the situation, reportedly ready to meet the financial terms. However, Osimhen is believed to prefer staying in Europe, with Turkey currently looking like the most viable destination.
Football journalist Fabrizio Romano added further detail via his YouTube channel, noting that Manchester United were never fully in contention due to Osimhen’s wage expectations and his contentment with life in Istanbul, where he previously spent time on loan.
