A suspected notorious kidnapper, Abubakar Ali Damina, terrorising the people of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area, has been arrested.
Damina, 43, was arrested during a joint security operation at Ofodo village, close to Igabada in Kogi State.
The suspect, who it was gathered hails from Bida in Niger State, was found in possession of a single-barreled Dane gun and various suspicious items such as charms, a gun firing cap, and local bullets.
During interrogation, the suspect allegedly confessed his involvement in criminal activities in Kogi State.

The Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Departmental Security Officer, Mohammed Aminu, spoke to newsmen on behalf of the council boss, Barr. Cosmos Atabor, and confirmed the arrest of the kidnapping kingpin on Wednesday.
According to a Daily Post report, the suspect has been detained at the Kogi State Vigilante Service facility in Igalamela-Odolu and will soon be handed over to the appropriate authority.
