MYA, Akanbi III Youths Welcome Kwara Government Delegation Over Proposed Kilanko Road Project

Posted on October 14, 2026October 14, 2026 By Rextun boss No Comments on MYA, Akanbi III Youths Welcome Kwara Government Delegation Over Proposed Kilanko Road Project

ILORIN, Kwara State — The Mandate Youth Assembly (MYA), Akanbi III Youth Forum, has welcomed representatives of the Kwara State Government to Kilanko community in Ilorin South Local Government Area over the proposed construction of roads in the area, expressing optimism that the project will improve transportation and stimulate grassroots economic development.

The engagement, held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, brought together political leaders, All Progressives Congress (APC) executives, community stakeholders, women and youths to discuss the proposed road project and reaffirm their commitment to community development and party unity.

Among those present were the Ilorin South APC Chairman, Hon. Ambali Akeem Jaji, and the Akanbi III Ward APC Chairman, alongside other party officials and community representatives.

In a statement issued after the engagement, the MYA Akanbi III Youth Forum expressed appreciation to Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for what it described as his administration’s continued attention to infrastructural development at the grassroots.

The youth group said it was optimistic that the proposed Kilanko road project, when executed, would improve accessibility, ease transportation challenges, boost economic activities and enhance the general welfare of residents.

It noted that improved road infrastructure would be beneficial to the community by facilitating movement and creating a more enabling environment for local businesses and other economic activities.

The Assembly also used the occasion to reaffirm its allegiance to the APC and its leadership at the national and state levels, pledging continued support for the party’s ideals and political programmes.

Those acknowledged in the statement included President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRazaq, Hon. Mariam Yusuf Aladi and Hon. Engr. Abdulquwiyy Olododo, as well as APC leaders across Kwara State, Ilorin South and Akanbi III Ward.

Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, the youth group pledged to promote party unity, mobilise grassroots support and encourage meaningful youth participation in the political process.

It also expressed its readiness to work collectively towards the success of duly nominated APC candidates, stressing the importance of cooperation among party members and stakeholders in strengthening the party’s presence at the grassroots.

The MYA Akanbi III Youth Forum thanked the government representatives, party leaders and community stakeholders who participated in the engagement, describing their involvement as important to sustaining dialogue and advancing development initiatives in the community.

Reiterating its commitment to community service and political cooperation, the Assembly said its guiding principles remained unity of purpose, loyalty in leadership, service to humanity and progress for local communities.

The proposed Kilanko road project is expected to be of significant interest to residents, who stand to benefit from improved road connectivity if the planned construction is implemented.
