Arsenal have reached an agreement with Belgian champions Club Brugge to sign Greek international winger Christos Tzolis in a deal reportedly worth around £34 million (€40 million), with the player now expected to complete the remaining formalities before joining the North London club.
The 24-year-old is expected to bolster Mikel Arteta’s attacking options following the departure of Belgian forward Leandro Trossard, with Arsenal identifying Tzolis as a direct replacement on the left flank. Reports indicate that personal terms have already been agreed, leaving only medical examinations and official documentation before the transfer is confirmed.
Tzolis enjoyed an outstanding campaign with Club Brugge, establishing himself as one of Europe’s most productive wide attackers. His impressive combination of goals and assists played a key role in Brugge’s domestic success and attracted interest from several clubs across Europe before Arsenal moved decisively to secure his signature.
The Greece international is no stranger to English football, having previously spent time at Norwich City before reviving his career through successful spells at Fortuna Düsseldorf and Club Brugge. His performances in Belgium convinced Arsenal’s recruitment team that he possesses the pace, creativity and goal threat required to strengthen the club’s attacking depth.
If completed as expected, the transfer would rank among the biggest outgoing deals in Belgian Pro League history and represent another significant addition to Arsenal’s squad as the Gunners continue to reinforce ahead of the new season.
