Says perpetrators must be brought to book
The British high commissioner to Nigeria, has condemned the killing of Deborah Samuel, a female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto state.
Stories of the extra-judicial killing of the innocent student hit the waves early Thursday in a horrendous video showing her being lynched.
Catriona Laing wrote on her twitter handle:
“I condemn the murder of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto, and urge the police and relevant authorities to ensure the perpetrators of this horrific act are made to face justice in line with the law,” she wrote.
Mass outrage and condemnation has continued to to emanate from various quarters around the country over the barbaric act.

What a very sad story, but it happened at school, where was security and no one stop a young woman from being lynch. Wow !!!! I pray for her family and friends. When you can’t serve Your God, speak about your God, the Most High. Where is the Church, where is the leaders, so the people have no rights. Then Freedom of the people went out in space. Come on people of God, we all will stand for righteousness one day and be judge by the Most High, she was chosen to stand for her beliefs, what does that say about all the people who claim that they love God, and have faith to pull together to change things, make a difference. This was such a sad story and my love for someone I don’t know, it touch my heart. Such a young beautiful woman that love life. I pray for her family. RIP!!!!!
