In a decisive move to strengthen security in Isanlu Isin, Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State, the Olusin of Isanlu Isin, Oba (Dr.) Solomon Olugbenga Oloyede, has directed the profiling of all non-indigenous residents across the community.
The directive, announced in a statement by Dr. Jacob Ayanda, Vice-President of the Isanlu Isin Development Association, comes amid rising concerns over safety and the need to identify unfamiliar individuals living within the area.
According to the monarch, the exercise aims to verify the identities of all residents, ensure that those residing in the community have legitimate ties, and detect individuals with suspicious backgrounds who may pose potential security threats. He added that anyone found with questionable records will be reported to the appropriate security agencies, while law-abiding residents will continue to enjoy full protection.
During a series of stakeholder meetings involving community chiefs, youth leaders, women representatives, vigilante groups, and non-indigenous associations, Oba Oloyede emphasized that strangers or unverified visitors would not be tolerated.
He stressed the importance of safeguarding the surrounding forests and farmlands as part of broader measures to prevent criminal activities and maintain peace.
The monarch assured residents that government security operatives and local vigilantes are on high alert and fully mobilized to protect lives and properties.
He encouraged everyone to remain vigilant, share credible security information, and cooperate with ongoing safety efforts.
Oba Oloyede further reassured law-abiding residents and business owners, whether indigenes or non-indigenes, that their rights and interests remain protected. He noted that anyone contributing positively to the community’s growth has nothing to fear, as the unity and harmony of Isanlu Isin remain top priority.
The traditional ruler also seized the occasion to commend the dedication of local security teams and pledged continued support and recognition for their efforts in keeping the community safe.
