A call has gone out to the Muslim umnah to always show compassion to the less privileged in the society by giving a little out of the wealth Allah has blessed them with to the needy.
This call was made by Alhaja Khadijat Abdusalam, proprietress, Batimoluwasi International School, Ilorin and founder of Alhidaya Foundation. She spoke on the occasion of Ramadan Empowerment for the less privileged sponsored by the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema, in conjunction with the Alhidaya Foundation.

In her brief sermon titled: Compassion, Alhaja Khadijat urged every Muslim to imbibe the virtue of being Compassionate. She emphasized that the Almighty Allah will be interested in the volume of Compassionate deeds we accomplish during our sojourn here on earth.
She stated that one of the essences of Ramadan fast, is for us to feel the pangs of hunger as the needy feels it everyday. According to her, ” we should therefore always remember the needy ones in the society who go hungry not by choice, but because they have no option.”
