Management of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has awarded three points and three goals to Rangers FC for the abandoned oriental derby with Enyimba.
Recall that Enyimba walked out of the game in protest of a penalty awarded to the hosts while their fans invaded the playing pitch afterwards.
The NPFL management also fined Enyimba FC N10m for the unprofessional, disruptive behaviour of their players, officials and supporters during the game.
The league body has also fined Rangers N5m for various offences, including non provision of adequate security, improper crowd control , as well as sales of tickets to spectators exceeding the stadium capacity.

Both clubs have 48 hours to appeal the decision.
With this development, Rangers now remain on course to win the 2023/24 season NPFL title with 64 points from 35 games.
