In continued reaction to what it has referred to as ” great financial mess”, the opposition People’s Democratic party in Kwara state has flayed the Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq led government in the state over alleged jamboree foreign trips and Phantom Internet Services.
Reacting to the first Quarter (2022) Budget Implementation Performance Report of the APC government in the state, the PDP stated that it has again been vindicated in all it’s criticisms of the ” incompetent kwara State APC regime”.

In a Press Release of 18/10/2022, titled Kwara State APC Regime’s jamboree foreign trips and Phantom Internet Services; signed by Prince ‘Tunji Moronfoye, the kwara State PDP PRO, the party condemned as “wasteful” the ” nearly half a billion naira” (N413m) spent by the government on international travels embarked upon by it’s officials.
The PDP queried the prudence claims of the Kwara State government if it spends such whooping sum at a time the federal government was spending “close to eighty percent ( 80% ) of revenue to service debts.” The foreign trips according to the release have refused to produce desired results in terms of Foreign Direct Investment attracted to the state.
In related development, the Press Release also criticized the expended sum of “nearly 100 million naira, N94, 855,407.45 allegedly spent on internet service between January and March 2022.
” We at the PDP wonder what the internet services were for. Is it that, every Kwaran was given the Government Wi-Fi password to be able to access the internet for free?”
The PDP alleged these “wasteful spending” as being part of the reasons for ” the high inflation, poverty and lack of security brought on by the years of the unfortunate termite’s regime of the APC”. This according to the party is in spite of government having ” accessed close to half a trillion in revenue in just over three years in power”.
