Just few hours before the commencement of the anti-government protest, the Lagos State Police Command said its anti-bomb squad had deactivated an improvised explosive device.
It was deactivated in the Ikeja area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development to Newsmen.
When contacted about the deactivation of the explosive device, Hundeyin simply said, “Yes, it happened today.”
He was, however, unable to give details of the development at the time of filing this report.
