The Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Foundation has launched its annual Iftar meal distribution across five states in Nigeria.
As part of its tradition, the Foundation will provide Iftar meals at designated mosques in Kwara, Niger, Borno, Kano, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, throughout the last 10 days of Ramadan.
Hon. Musa Aliyu, North Central Regional Director of the ABS Foundation, announced in a statement on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, that the initiative will cater for over 100 individuals per mosque, targeting more than 50 mosques in Kwara State alone. Similar efforts will take place in other selected states.
Aliyu reaffirmed that the annual initiative aims to promote love, inclusivity, and solidarity within the Muslim Ummah, ensuring that those in need can observe Ramadan without hardship.
Meanwhile, the former Senate President and founder of the ABS Foundation, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has emphasized the importance of unity, generosity, and prayer during Ramadan and beyond.
He urged Nigerians, regardless of religious affiliation, to use the holy month as an opportunity to seek divine intervention for the country.
Speaking on the Iftar distribution, Saraki encouraged privileged individuals to support the less fortunate, particularly in light of the nation’s economic challenges.
