Posted on March 19, 2026March 19, 2026 By Rextun boss No Comments on Omo Ibile Igbomina Reaffirms Unity Agenda as Prof. Wale Suleiman Pledges Continued Support

The National President of Omo Ibile Igbomina, Sir Bisi Fakayode, has reiterated the association’s strong commitment to unity, socio-economic growth, and the sustained development of Igbomina land.

Fakayode made this known while receiving Professor Wale Suleiman, Chairman of the Governing Council and Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences Ila-Orangun, during a courtesy visit to the association’s National Secretariat in Ganmo, Kwara State.

Describing Professor Suleiman as a dependable ally, Fakayode commended his consistent support and strategic contributions to the association’s progress. He noted that Suleiman has remained a steadfast partner since the inception of the current administration, emphasizing that his commitment to the advancement of Igbomina land has been both visible and impactful.

“A good product does not require advertisement. Professor Wale Suleiman has stood firmly with us since the beginning of this administration. His dedication to the progress of Igbomina is commendable,” Fakayode stated.

The association’s president highlighted several interventions facilitated by Suleiman, including the installation of solar power at the National Secretariat, provision of a regular monthly financial subvention, and his advisory role on the healthcare committee.

Reaffirming the association’s direction, Fakayode stressed that unity remains central to its agenda, adding that Igbomina land is richly endowed with both human and natural resources capable of driving meaningful transformation if properly harnessed.

In his remarks, Professor Suleiman lauded the National Executive Council for what he described as impressive achievements within a short period. He characterized the leadership as focused, proactive, and committed to development.

He also reaffirmed his alignment with the association’s vision, pledging sustained support for its programmes and initiatives. According to him, his involvement is driven by a genuine commitment to the growth and prosperity of Igbomina land.

“All the strategies introduced by this leadership, we have keyed into them. We are committed to supporting the association in all ramifications,” he said.

Suleiman further called for a collective approach to tackling developmental challenges, urging Igbomina indigenes to remain united and forward-thinking. On the political front, he advised voters to adopt an objective approach in evaluating aspirants, emphasizing the importance of competence, clear policy direction, and accountability in leadership selection.

The visit attracted several prominent figures, including former Kwara State Commissioner for Water Resources, Alhaji Khaleel Bolaji, and former Chairman of Ekiti Local Government, Alhaja Aminat Folake Yusuf, among other dignitaries.

The engagement underscores growing collaboration among stakeholders aimed at fostering unity and accelerating development across Igbomina communities.
