President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the postponement of the scheduled census billed to take place across the country between May 3 and 5.
Minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed announced the postponement in a statement issued on today.
According to the statement, the new date for the census will be determined by the incoming administration.
The postponement of the census comes a few weeks after the commission assured Nigerians of its readiness to conduct the exercise.
