…Witty, entertaining retrospections and predictions
Last weekend Sunday evening, the second star match after the Liverpool vs Chelsea Encounter, a sort of mid table clash that wasn’t so thrilling as the Arsenal vs Manchester United clash.
It brought back those clash of titans memories of the invincibles and the Fergie era. Eddie Nketiah was master class with a brace! And Trossard with a cameo was instrumental in the third goal build up.

At the end of the day, Arsenal was much more the attacking side with 25 shots where 5 were on targets compared to 6 shots of their visitors. Also 12 corner kicks compared to 4 from their visitors. Enjoyed more possessions and accurate passes also. With a game in hand, the Gunners are still leading with 5 points. Two baptism of fire matches remain with Manchester City.

Elsewhere, Liverpool and Chelsea are yet to get their mojo back. Can they still enter the top four?
In Italy, Napoli are now leading with a staggering 12 points. This was coming on the heels of a ruling deducting a massive 15 points from the most successful Italian football club, Juventus. The club released a statement, they would appeal. What is fascinating in the Italian league is that two Nigerians are now the top scorers, Victor Osimhen and Haruna Lookman. The latter wasn’t successful like this in the EPL. It has been a great comeback for him.

In other leagues, Spain’s Barcelona and rivals Real Madrid are still slugging it out.
In France, it is between PSG and Lens. They former still leading with three points.
Bayern Munich where the German Bundesliga just continued this weekend is leading with three points after a draw with Liepzig on Friday.
However, the EPL still comes with the greatest suspense of all.
