Turkish giants Galatasaray are on the brink of securing the signature of Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen from Serie A side Napoli, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
In what could be one of the biggest transfer surprises of the summer, Romano reports that both clubs are in the final stages of negotiations, with the deal set to be completed soon barring any last-minute hitches.
Osimhen, who joined Napoli from Lille in 2020, has established himself as one of Europe’s most lethal forwards, playing a pivotal role in Napoli’s historic 2022/2023 Serie A title win. The Super Eagles star has also drawn interest from top clubs across Europe, including Premier League and Bundesliga sides.
While financial terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed, sources suggest Galatasaray are offering a package attractive enough to tempt both Napoli and the player, including guaranteed UEFA Champions League football and a leading role in the team.
