Israeli Defense Forces airstrikes in northern Lebanon have killed Hamas commander Saeed Attallah Ali, his wife, and their two daughters at their home in the Beddawi camp near Tripoli on Saturday.
This marks the first reported strike in the area since the Gaza war erupted nearly a year ago, according to Al Jazeera.
Israel has broadened its military operations in Lebanon, moving beyond the border areas and targeting regions further inland.
Explosions were reported early Saturday in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Before the strikes, residents in Dahiyeh, a Hezbollah stronghold, were reportedly warned, though the number of civilians who evacuated remains unclear.
