Iran Alleges 30 Universities Bombed, Over 1,900 Civilians Killed in Escalating US-Israeli Strikes

Posted on April 4, 2026April 4, 2026 By Rextun boss No Comments on Iran Alleges 30 Universities Bombed, Over 1,900 Civilians Killed in Escalating US-Israeli Strikes

Iran has accused the United States and Israel of carrying out widespread military attacks on its territory, claiming that at least 30 universities have been struck and more than 1,900 civilians killed in what it describes as a sustained campaign of aggression.

The allegation comes amid an intensifying regional conflict involving Iran, Israel, and allied forces, with hostilities spreading across multiple fronts in the Middle East.

According to Iranian authorities, the strikes have not been limited to military installations but have extended to civilian infrastructure, including higher education institutions. Tehran maintains that at least 30 universities have been hit by missile attacks, a development it says underscores a pattern of targeting non-military sites.

This position aligns with earlier statements by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which accused the US and Israel of repeatedly bombing academic facilities and warned that similar institutions linked to the two countries could be considered “legitimate targets” in retaliation.

Iranian officials say the civilian death toll has surpassed 1,900, reflecting the growing humanitarian cost of the conflict. Independent reporting also indicates a sharp escalation in casualties, with figures from recent reports confirming that more than 1,900 people have been killed in Iran amid ongoing strikes.

The broader conflict has already seen significant loss of life in earlier phases. During previous exchanges, hundreds of civilians, including women and children, were reported killed in airstrikes targeting cities and critical infrastructure.

The current wave of attacks forms part of a larger military confrontation that has expanded beyond Iran’s borders. Reports indicate that US and Israeli operations have targeted strategic sites across Iran, including alleged missile facilities and infrastructure, while Tehran has responded with missile and drone attacks across the region.

The conflict has also drawn in regional actors, with fighting spilling into Lebanon and beyond, raising fears of a wider Middle East war.

Iran has condemned the strikes as violations of international law, describing them as “genocide” and accusing both Washington and Tel Aviv of systematically targeting civilian populations and infrastructure.

Specific incidents have intensified global concern. In one widely reported case, a missile strike on a school in southern Iran killed scores of civilians, many of them children, prompting condemnation from international observers and human rights groups.

As casualty figures rise and critical infrastructure continues to be hit, international calls for de-escalation are growing louder. Analysts warn that continued attacks on civilian and educational institutions could deepen the humanitarian crisis and further destabilize an already volatile region.

While the United States and Israel have not publicly confirmed Iran’s specific claims regarding university strikes, the broader pattern of escalating military exchanges suggests the conflict is entering a more dangerous and expansive phase, with civilians increasingly bearing the brunt.
