Following the questionable conduct of the Adamawa State INEC REC last weekend and the fragile nature of peace and security in the state, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba has ordered the immediate redeployment of Commissioner of Police on election duty in Adamawa State, Mohammed Barde.
In his place the IGP has picked the Commissioner of Police in charge of Gombe State, CP Etim Equa to proceed to Adamawa State to continue with election security of the ongoing supplementary governorship poll collation.
Addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja, Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the IGP is committed to a free and fair process.

The electoral umpire, INEC has said it will write to the Inspector General of Police, requesting a probe and prosecution if found culpable of Ari but the police are yet to receive any such letter from INEC.
