Women have been called upon to undergo regular examination to facilitate early discovery of cancerous growths as this is critical to their survival of breast cancer.
This message was central to the speeches of many speakers at the CeliaJoe Breast Cancer Awareness Initiative flag off in Ilorin on Saturday 27th August 2022, at the St Joseph Nursery and Primary school events hall.
The occasion, which primarily was to mark the 40th anniversary of the initiator of CeliaJoe, Rev. Sr Monica Aduzemare Obaro as a religious also had the public presentation of an autobiography of the celebrant titled You Again.

You Again, published by Rextun Books was reviewed at the occasion by the very erudite Kwara born scholar, a prolific writer himself and founder of Imodoye Writer’s Enclave, Dr Usman Oladipo Akanbi of the Faculty of Agriculture in the university of Ilorin.
Dr Akanbi in the concluding remarks of his reviews posits that the book “written in simple language is a cocoon of events that spanned decades of life on earth
and metamorphosis from one stage to another. The memoir also punctures silence on time, space,
family, friends and relationship. So, revealing are the stories told through the pulsations of an
orphan who ended up moulding the life of so many others! It should, therefore, be read and re-read
irresistibly by, not only adults, but also children, their parents, teachers, and anyone who is able to
read in the English language.”
The colorful unveiling ceremony of the book was performed by Dr (Mrs) Ifeoma Okafor of the University of Ilorin and the commencement of it’s sales was opened by Chief (Mrs) Titiloye who is president of the St Monica Society of the Ilorin Catholic church Taiwo Cathedral.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the Occasion, Dr Shola Fashiku, a consultant surgeon at the UITH advised women to present themselves for regular checks as a way of increasing their survival chances if they came down with breast cancer .
The occasion was attended by many dignatries from different walks of life.
On spot at the premises of the event hall was the Nurses Guild of the Catholic Church carrying out tests and examination on women who freely elect to be checked.
The beautifully packaged event was compered by the duo of M.C Icing Tosin Ann of Albarka fm and Oyez Olatunde Rex. M.C Icing was at her marvelous form thrilling guests with her witty remarks.
