Osun State governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has Friday 27th January been sacked as Governor of Osun state by an Election Petition Tribunal chaired by Justice Tertse Kume.
The tribunal reached its verdict to sack Adeleke following claims of over voting in some polling units across the State.
In the majority judgement reached by two judges against one, the tribunal ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Governor Ademola Adeleke and issue same to Adegboyega Oyetola.
Meanwhile, Incumbent Governor Adeleke has called on his supporters to remain calm.
Governor Adeleke described the tribunal judgement as miscarried justice. He therefore is appealing the tribunal judgement where he expressed his confidence that appropriate justice will be served.
