In another of the incessant onslaughts, gunmen on Thursday evening reportedly engaged the military in a gun duel at a checkpoint in Zuma Rock Madalla, along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.
Reports reaching Rextun City Updates have indicated that the attack began at about 8pm and no casualties have been reported at the time of filing this report.
Several sources confirmed the incident and reported it has led to a gridlock on the highway.
This latest attack on a military installation comes days after bandits attacked a unit of the presidential brigade guards, killing at least three soldiers.
