Television personality and Arsenal legend, Ian Wright has predicted the winner of the upcoming Premier League clash between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
The clash will come up at Old Trafford on Sunday, September 29.
The game is crucial for both sides as they are both looking to climb up the Premier League table after an inconsistent start of the season .
Both Erik ten Hag and Ange Postecoglou’s sides have seven points in five league games and are 11th and 10 in the table, respectively.
In their last Premier League match, Tottenham impressed against Brentford at home (September 21). The north London outfit came from behind to finish the game 3-1 despite conceding a goal within the first few seconds of kickoff.
The Spurs will face Qarabag in the Europa League at home on September 26.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s lack of form was highlighted by their recent UEFA Europa League 1-1 draw against FC Twente (September 25). They drew 0-0 in their last Premier League game at Crystal Palace.
Notwithstanding all these, Ian Wright predicted the home team to get the win on Sunday against Arsenal’s north London rivals.
He said on the Stick to Football podcast:
“I think United will beat them. Let’s go 2-1.”
