Soldiers of the 22 Armoured Brigade in Forward Operating Base, FOB, Patigi, have rescued five kidnapped persons, during search and rescue operations at Olapade/Olayinka village in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

This was disclosed in a statement on Thursday by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 22 Armoured Brigade, Stephen Nwankwo.

He stated that the rescued victims are four females and a child.

The statement also disclosed that the victims were kidnapped on 15 May and rescued following an intelligent report from local residents and vigilantes which prompted the troops to swing into action.
