Today at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes were dealt a huge blow after they were held to a 3-3 draw with Southampton.
The visitors raced into a two-goal lead via strikes from Carlos Alcaraz and Theo Walcott before Gabriel Martinelli pulled one back before half time.
Substitute Duje Caleta-Car restored Southampton’s two-goal lead before the hosts produced a late comeback to grab a point as Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka scored in the dying moments.
But it wasn’t enough to salvage their title chase.
Now, Arsenal have to go to the Etihad and beat Man City to keep the title race in their hands.
Beating City at Etihad is a tall order but possible if the all season table leaders get their acts right.
Arsenal will travel to Etihad for the encounter next Wednesday for the match that may ultimately determine the season League Champions.
