At other levels, 85 Assistant Commissioners of Police were promoted to Deputy Commissioners of Police, while 49 Chief Superintendents of Police advanced to Assistant Commissioners of Police. The exercise also covered 245 Superintendents of Police elevated to Chief Superintendents of Police and 498 Deputy Superintendents of Police promoted to Superintendents of Police.

The largest category comprised 3,218 Assistant Superintendents of Police who were promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police. The beneficiaries serve across various police commands, formations and specialised units of the force.
