There was sporadic shooting by military operatives, which dispersed armed bandits in Yagba West, Kogi State, Friday evening between Odo-Eri and Ejiba in Yagba West.
The incident occurred shortly after a commercial driver escaped from an attack and alerted the Local Vigilante group in Odo-ere, the headquarters of Yagba West.

The military operatives and the local vigilante group went on JTF to the scene along Ejiba. On getting close to the scene, the military operatives started shooting sporadically, which alerted the kidnappers to take cover.
