The first generation of writers and authors laid a solid foundation, upon which subsequent generations have built. It is heartening to recognize the foresight that led to the acquisition of the land on which the Mamman Vatsa Writers Village now stands. This magnificent establishment is proudly celebrated as the largest writers’ resort on the African continent, a testament to the current generation of ANA executives who brought the dreams of our founding fathers to life.
The 2019 election represented a challenging period in ANA’s history, but it ultimately served as a catalyst for a reinvigorated ANA, one that we witness today. However, there is still much work to be done to ensure greater unity among writers and the establishment of discipline within our ranks.
With the upcoming election this year, I hope that a new set of executives will emerge to build upon the achievements of previous administrations and, most importantly, push the boundaries of success within the creative arts industry.
