Arsenal delivered a thrilling and dominant performance at the Emirates Stadium as they outclassed fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur 4–1 in a North London derby lit up by Eberechi Eze’s brilliant hat-trick. The Gunners stormed into a 3–0 lead by halftime, showcasing fluid attacking football and remarkable midfield control that left Spurs overwhelmed long before the final whistle.
The game kicked off with Arsenal immediately imposing themselves across every blade of grass, pressing high and circulating the ball with confidence. Tottenham found themselves pinned back from the early exchanges, as Arsenal’s midfield trio of Eze, Martín Zubimendi, and Declan Rice dictated the flow with authority and precision.

Arsenal opened the scoring through a well-worked move that saw Eze glide into space, receiving a threaded pass before firing a crisp low finish into the bottom corner. The early breakthrough energised the Emirates crowd and further rattled a Spurs side already struggling with Arsenal’s intensity.

The Gunners continued to dominate possession, and their second goal arrived through another moment of brilliance from Eze. Collecting the ball just outside the box, he danced past a defender and unleashed a curling effort that nestled into the top corner, doubling Arsenal’s lead and tightening their grip on the contest.
Before Tottenham could regroup, Arsenal struck again with a sweeping team move that exposed gaps in the Spurs defence. The third goal, arriving before halftime, placed the Gunners in complete command and gave Tottenham a mountain to climb. Arsenal’s midfield unit remained relentless, recovering possession quickly and recycling the ball with effortless chemistry.
Tottenham emerged from the break with slightly more urgency, and their persistence paid off in the 55th minute when they capitalised on a rare defensive lapse to pull one back. The goal briefly shifted momentum, giving Spurs hope of mounting a comeback as they pushed more bodies forward.
However, Arsenal regained control almost immediately. Rather than retreating into a defensive shell, the Gunners continued to dominate the middle of the park, with Zubimendi and Rice shutting down Tottenham’s passing lanes while Eze remained a constant threat drifting between the lines. Their composure ensured Spurs barely built on their solitary goal.
Eze completed his hat-trick with a coolly taken finish following a sustained spell of Arsenal pressure. The forward showed remarkable composure as he slotted in the Gunners’ fourth goal, effectively ending any hope Tottenham had of turning the match around. His display was a perfect blend of creativity, technique, and ruthlessness in front of goal.
Manager Mikel Arteta was full of praise after the match, describing the performance as “a complete derby display” and singling out the midfield trio for their tactical discipline and attacking contribution. He highlighted their synergy as the engine that powered Arsenal’s dominance from start to finish.
The final whistle confirmed a memorable 4–1 victory for Arsenal, a result that strengthens their Premier League ambitions and secures bragging rights across North London. With Eberechi Eze’s hat-trick leading the storyline and the midfield functioning at peak efficiency, the Gunners sent a clear message about their intentions for the rest of the campaign.
