Kwara United are preparing for a significant rebuilding exercise ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season, with the club planning to recruit 10 new players to strengthen the squad for the new campaign.
The club’s Technical Adviser, Ashifat Suleiman, disclosed the transfer plans as preparations gather momentum for the forthcoming season.
According to Suleiman, the recruitment drive is aimed at improving the team’s competitiveness across all departments after an assessment of the current squad. He explained that the club’s technical crew has identified areas requiring reinforcement and is working to secure quality additions capable of helping the Harmony Boys achieve their objectives in the new campaign.
Kwara United have already resumed pre-season activities, with players reporting to camp as the club intensifies preparations ahead of the expected kickoff of the 2026/27 NPFL season later this year. The early resumption is intended to give the coaching staff sufficient time to evaluate both returning players and prospective recruits before finalising the squad.
The Ilorin-based side will be hoping that the planned influx of new talent translates into improved performances after an eventful 2025/26 campaign. The management believes strategic recruitment, combined with a structured pre-season programme, will provide the foundation for a more competitive outing in the league.
Supporters are expected to closely monitor the club’s transfer activities in the coming weeks as Kwara United continue to reshape their squad in pursuit of a successful 2026/27 season.
